Transferring Data Asset Ownership

The Asset Management token allows data asset owners to transfer the ownership and management rights of a particular Asset in your marketplace to another wallet.

Steps to Transfer the Ownership of Your Data Asset​

  1. Log in to the marketplace.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click on My Listings > Listed Assets. This will open your dashboard.
  3. Click the 'More' button of the data asset you want to manage and 'Edit Advanced Settings'.
  4. Go to Manage Ownership > Transfer Ownership.
  5. Paste the new owner's wallet address and confirm the transaction.

Note: To ensure that the asset ownership transfer is valid, make sure that the new owner (if a different user than the original owner) has an existing account in your data marketplace and the new wallet has the necessary roles (provider and/or consumer) to perform marketplace actions.
