Managing Who Can Purchase Data Asset

When publishing an Asset, you will be able to set whether your Asset can initially be allowed or denied for all user consumption. However, you can further restrict the access of your Asset to certain groups of users - e.g., specific external groups, or only to enterprises that you trust.

Steps to Manage Access to a Data Asset

  1. Log in to the marketplace.
  2. From the left navigation bar, click on My Listings > Listed Assets. This will open up your dashboard.
  3. Click the 'More' button of the data asset you want to manage and 'Edit Advanced Settings'.
  4. Under 'Manage Permissions', update the credential type that you authorize or block from consuming your data assets on their respective tabs.
    • To make your asset purchasable by everyone in the marketplace, select 'Allow all users'.
    • To make your asset unavailable for purchase by everyone in the marketplace, select 'Deny all users'.
    • To set custom permissions, select 'Custom'.
      • In the 'Allow' tab: Only credentials listed can consume your data asset.
      • In the 'Deny' tab: All credentials listed are blocked from consuming your data asset.
      • If both 'Allow' and 'Deny' list are filled: Deny list takes precedence.
  5. Submit and confirm the transaction.
  6. A pop-up message confirming that your asset has been successfully updated will appear.
