Instance Configuration Management

Certain configurations of your marketplace instance, such as timeout settings, Docker images, and feature toggles, can be updated via the Instance Management Portal.

Update the Current Configuration

As an instance admin, you can update the existing configuration of the current instance version, in case a change is necessary.

To update the existing configuration:

  1. Log in to Instance Management Portal.
  2. Click on ‘Configuration’ from the left panel.
  3. Under the ‘Select Version’ dropbox, select the option that matches your current version.
  4. Update the desired configuration.
  5. Carefully review your changes, then click on the ‘Next Step: Review & Deploy’ button at the bottom of the page.
  6. A success message will appear, indicating that the change was successful and the redeployment is in progress

Upgrade or Downgrade the Current Version

Whenever there is a new version of the Data Exchange Platform, you should be able to proceed in upgrading to the most recent release.

To update your instance to a new version:

  1. Log in to Instance Management Portal.
  2. Click on ‘Instance’ from the left panel.
  3. Under the ‘Select Version’ dropbox, click on the desired version number. Take note of your current deployed version to make the correct selection.
  4. Provide the necessary details of the new version: Release Notes, Configuration settings, and Secrets.
  5. Carefully review your changes, then click on the ‘Deploy Instance’ button at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, click on the ‘Save Draft’ button at the bottom of the page.
  6. A success message will appear, indicating whether the change was successful or if redeployment is in progress.

Note: Currently, there is no way to indicate that the updated configuration is a draft or a live version.
